I had my first book signing. I considered it to be a success because I sold more than one book. Surprisingly the highlight for me was not the selling of books; it was the interaction with the people present.
There was one guest who had ordered my book online and brought it with him for me to sign. It was an awesome feeling to hear him say he was able to visualize a place or clearly see an event from my choice of descriptive words.
I can’t wait to do my second book signing! I want it to be more interactive. Next time I plan to include a reading section and set aside time to answer questions.
